No matter how much you achieve you never feel good enough. You feel exhausted and drained, to the point of feeling like you have nothing left to give. You are constantly prioritizing others' needs before your own. When you notice yourself feeling resentful, you criticize yourself for having those feelings. Many days, it feels like you are just going through the motions, completely forgetting that you have a body. One of your biggest fears is disappointing others, but in trying to please everyone you disappoint yourself. You have a harsh critic constantly reminding you of all the ways you are failing. You long to feel more connected to your body and to have a clearer sense of who you are. You want to learn how to set healthy boundaries and say no, without being overwhelmed by fear and anxiety. You want to find your voice so that you can reach your full potential. You want to connect with your authenticity and find out what makes you feel ALIVE. You want to start investing in relationships with people who give as much as they take. Relationships where support is reciprocal and that reciprocal support helps you grow and understand yourself better.

My name is Leah Smith,

A Marriage and Family Therapist, who helps people pleasers and empaths learn how to start saying yes to themselves! 

I help people, who feel burnt out and disconnected from themselves, learn to listen to their bodies and develop an internal compass they can trust. My clients experience change over time, not just in becoming more connected to themselves but more assertive in their relationships, and their careers and more compassionate in how they speak to themselves. I will help you get to know yourself by exploring the felt sense in the body and will teach you how to release the traumatic energy your body has been storing. However, we won’t just be processing trauma, we will also spend time learning about the importance of laughter, humor and finding things that bring you joy.

Therapy doesn’t have to feel scary and hard. It can feel like a relief, like finally coming home after being on a long journey.  

My clients typically come to see me weekly so they have consistent support and can move out of feeling like they are in crisis. I will integrate body movement, sound, mindfulness and touch into our work giving you tools that you can use to find calm in your everyday life.
